We had another water damage job the other day in Gig harbor, homeowner didn’t notice the caulking on the floor next to the tub had cracked, creating a gap that water leaked into over time. A little moisture, over prolonged periods of time, rotted the floor. Nobody noticed until the floor was starting to get soft, by then it was too late to save it. These repairs are fairly expensive, because you usually have to pull the tub, which means re-doing the shower surround the floor, etc. It could have been prevented if they had checked their caulking, and sealed the problem area.
